Once again a thorough inspection and service pre harvest! Trying to eliminate, any breakdowns during harvest wherever possible.

A different perspective captured here August 2018

The English landscape looking a bit greener after the recent rain following the hot and very dry summer

A long shot here! Showing the little straw crop this season following the very dry conditions.

52 yrs old and still doing the job she was built for .

Patiently waiting for the crop !

Leaving a clean job behind her !

We’re off cutting wheat early August very dry 12%

Plenty of dust was common throughout harvest !

Early morning check around and a perfect blue sky ready for another hot day.

Just when you think everything is going well a tyre lets go! This is an original tyre 31 yrs old and it’s served it’s time.
With a full grain tank and turning on a steep gradient the combine took quite a jolt ! But thankfully no other damage, after this failure we replaced the other tyre a few days later with a newer second hand one .

No mistaken the damage here.

Not the best of jobs!? But we like to blow the combine off during the day to reduce the risk of fire! And also to improve the cooling around the radiator and oil cooler where dust and chaff build up, this tool a grass /leaf blower is very handy for this purpose.

Once again we have to negotiate very tight spots during the harvest !
